CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME?

While watching one of the NB minimus commercials which I am not too big of a fan of, I saw a few startling comments:

Take a look at the first comment...

Wait wtf?

I couldn't manage to get a screen capture showing "us" only "u" I saw a little blur of another letter but  I couldn't make it out. Why did they go though the effort to do this? Also...why in improper English? It seems so strange to me. Either way, "Your feet are belong to us." is really creepy and a very sinister thing for a company to say and "Your feet are belong to u." defeats the purpose of having shoes. Its a little creepy either way in my opinion.

  1. I would guess it's supposed to be a clever play on an outdated meme.

Seems like they are trying to tell you to take your feet back by buying their shoes.. which seems kind of ridiculous.. but I guess in our society, going minimal is seen as very drastic, so maybe it's a step in the right direction.

  2. 'All your feet belong to us' is a spinoff of 'All your base are belong to us', which you can read about here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_your_base_are_belong_to_us
