Pulling out of an unfortunately deep depression, I have been trying to re invent myself into an all around better person.
I've also suffered a series of financial setbacks over the past year that have made my situation less advantageous. Instead of conforming to the foolishness of convention and getting a loan, I have instead decided to do what I like to call "Beasting out jobs like a Motherfucker." This might be referred to in polite society as "Getting as many jobs as I can handle." The current number is four. That might be set to increase if I don't get what I need from the previous four. In addition to these jobs, I am a taxi for friends, I run a business buying and selling printing presses, and I am constantly doing freelance work through craigslist.
On top of all this, Google finally got their act together and managed to get my ad pin number to my site so I can hopefully get some additional revenue from this blog.
With all that said and done, don't worry folks, I still refuse to wear shoes.
All these jobs however cannot prevent me from enjoying the finer things in life, like climbing, or trudging through abandoned buildings. You know, fancy stuff.
As usual, I'll throw in a few pictures of what I've been up to recently.
Here I am at my run down house sorting movable type (printing press letters) to sell, a major source of income for me and also a passion of mine
I have not given up climbing and I certainly have no intention to ever do so.
If you weren't there, you might not understand what this is. This is the roller component of the old Seekonk Railroad Bridge. I crawled into the innards of the roller to play in the tiny cavities and tunnels inside the components of the bridge.
I have also been doing a lot of work taking pictures of my brother when he climbs, mostly because he cant climb and hold a camera at the same time and he is more photogenic.
As you can see, he climbs barefoot too...for safety...of course.

Harrison is such a hottie, and so are you! Now stop being depressed!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know that you've been an inspiration to me as far as barefoot living is concerned. I actually walked the track at my school without shoes today. Besides all of the stares everything just felt right. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHi! I've been following your blog for a while and think you are, as others said, much an inspiration for my barefooting and lifestyle in general. What I seem to encounter is my mom's complete and utter intolerance to my barefooting - she even tried not letting me to work (as one of her colleagues) without shoes on, that's while the boss didn't seem to mind at all! - and it's really stressing, so I want to ask advice.
ReplyDeleteI also wonder what you do, regarding feet'n'shoes in places like laboratories and/or religious places. I seem to have trouble with that.
You've also mentioned some volunteer stuff you have been doing, which is why I'm interested in the sort of personal qualities necessary. If you wonder, I have some of my own reasons behind starting this.
I have some memorized lines and zingers I use to get my way. I also know my rights and I don't back down when someone is trying to challenge my rights.
DeleteGood Luck
